CRM’s Disconnected Field Data Collection

CRM assists several major forest companies through the management of BC corporate GIS data.  Often field updates are required, but field staff are out of Internet or WiFi range. CRM works with its clients to develop streamlined, disconnected data update processes, allowing field staff to work with current spatial data in the field. Once back in the office or with access to internet connection, data is synchronized back to the corporate dataset.  Field updates can range from new spatial or aspatial information, pictures, videos, audio or other attachments. Structured field forms maintain corporate standards and enhance efficiency.  CRM has developed many effective field collection processes for use in the forestry, fisheries, and oil and gas industries.  There is no application limit to putting mapping in the hands of the field workforce to improve the accuracy and currency of corporate spatial data, allowing for more timely and informed decisions
